S1 pupils were crowned Scottish individual and team champions in the National Synchronised Swimming Championships at Drumchapel Pool last week, with all five High School competitors winning medals on the day.

Niamh Docherty (S1) was crowned Scottish U12 champion in both the Figure and Solo competitions, while fellow First Year swimmer Emily Gill achieved the highest solo routine score in the U12 category. Together, Niamh and Emily became national U12 Free Team champions, as well as winning Silver medals in the U12 Duet event.

Three S4 pupils, Gabriella Smart, Tabitha Steven and Lana Wallace, came together to compete in the 13-15 Free Team event, winning Silver medals. Gabriella and Tabitha also won team Silver in both the Combination Team and 13-15 Duet events. Individually, Tabitha rounded off a successful day by winning Bronze medals in both the 13-15 Figure and Solo competitions.

All five will now go on to compete for the Synchro Caledonia team at the National Age Group Championships in Gloucester at the end of November.
