Rebecca McInnes (S6) and Lucy Williamson (S5) represented the West District team as they won the U18 Indoor Inter-District Competition at Bell's Sport Centre in Perth earlier this month, with Lucy on the scoresheet in an 11-4 victory over the South District side. Cross Country

A number of High School athletes competed for Garscube Harriers at the Lindsays Scottish National Cross Country Championships on Saturday 24th February in Falkirk. Anya MacLean (S2) won a Bronze medal in the U15 Girls' race, while Lorn Webster (S5) finished 4th in the U17 Boys' race. Fergus Currie (S1) and Jackson Adams (Transitus) also competed in the U13 Boys' race, finishing 10th and 25th respectively. A number of runners will be competing again soon, this time representing the School, at the Scottish Schools' Championships at Hopetoun House on Saturday 3rd March.


Anya and Lorn were also in action at the Scottish Schools' Indoor Athletics Championships on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th February at the Emirates Arena. Lorn finished 5th overall in the O16 800m event, while Anya finished 7th in Scotland in th U16 1500m event. Alice Baxendale (S5) also finished seventh in the O16 Shot Put event.


Rachel Sugden (S5) competed at the Hungarian Junior International Badminton Competition earlier in the month, taking part in the Womens’ Singles and Mixed Doubles events. She reached the quarter final in the doubles competition with her partner Joshua Apiliga, eventually losing out to the number 1 seeds from Bulgaria. In the singles competition, Rachel suffered a narrow three set loss in the round of 32.


Matthew Gibson-Smith (S5), alongside former pupil Euan Gibson-Smith (Class of 2017), represented the West of Scotland team at the LTA U18 County Cup in Bath, taking on fellow Group 1 Premier Division teams Surrey, Hertfordshire and Suffolk for the chance to be crowned the top county in the country.
