Sailing

Gordon Sivarajan (S3) has continued to participate in various sailing events this term. He took part in a National Junior Squad training weekend at Hayling Island Sailing Club in January and will travel to Queen Mary Sailing Club near London in late March to participate in a qualifying event for selection to represent Great Britain at the Laser 4.7 World Championships before heading to Datchet Water Sailing Club, west of London, for another qualifying event, this time for the Laser 4.7 Summer National Junior Squad at the beginning of April.

Gordon has also qualified to participate in the Laser 4.7 Youth Championships & Trophy 2017 in Murcia, Spain, in mid-April. A very busy few months for him!

Karting

Angus Moulsdale (S2) competed at the European X30 Winter Cup in Valencia, Spain, in February. After racing in multiple qualifying heats, he began the first final in 3rd position and led for most of the race, unfortunately just being squeezed out on the final corner of the final lap to finish in 2nd place. In the second final, despite starting on the front row, Angus unfortunately began on the dirty side of the track, meaning he was to eventually finish the race in 7th position. The competition acted as a great experience for Angus, who will go on to participate in Round 1 of the RGMMC European Championship in Genk, Belgium, in late March, his first time racing on this track.

Tennis

Hamish Stewart (S6) won the Nike Invitational Winter National Tour Finals Boys' U18 competition in London in early February and was part of the West of Scotland team that won a round robin tournament at the Aegon U18 Winter County Cup at the weekend.
