Kuk Sool Won (Korean Martial Arts)

S1 pupil Louis Kennedy competed at the Kuk Sool Won European Championships in Norwich on Saturday 4th June. He won a Gold medal for his age group in Sparring and also won two Bronze medals for Form and Technique.

This came after he had previously picked up two Gold medals for Sparring during the Scottish Championships at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, Motherwell on Saturday 28th May. Well done to Louis on both his national and international success.

Kuk Sool Won is a Korean martial art in which students can compete in three disciplines: Sparring, Form and Technique. When they achieve Black Belt level they can also compete in two weapon disciplines. For more information, you can visit the Kuk Sool Won website at
