Glorious Victory for the School Staff

22 June 2016 | Tagged: Golf

Staff of the Senior School put their pupil counterparts in their place with a crushing victory in the annual Staff vs Pupils Golf Competition on Tuesday 21st June.

A nervous-looking pupil side ventured to Milngavie Golf Course to face a composed staff team, brimming with confidence (and talent), after their excellent victory last year. After such a comfortable victory last year, there was only one option this time around - to embarrass their pupil counterparts even further.

Once again, our staff dominated. Cruelly, the staff did not feel like letting pupils even gain a single point this time around, whitewashing them with a 4-0 victory!

Mr Arthur Baillie and Mr Ford were the biggest victors, winning 5&4 against Neil Forsyth and Charlotte McCluskey (both S6), whilst Mr Barrett and Mr Brechany won 4&2 against Matthew Dalrymple and Elliott McCluskey (both S6). Mr Ross Baillie and Mr Campbell won 2&1 against Murray McVicar (S5) and Liam Taylor (Transitus), with Mr Birch and Mr McKeown putting the final nail in the coffin of the pupil side, winning 1up against Ian Black (S6) and Ewan Docherty (S4).

A hearty congratulations to the Senior School staff on yet another glorious performance, and, of course, commiserations to our young golfers - Once again, more practice is clearly required.

Next year perhaps...?
