Bannerman Fundraising Week 2019

15 April 2019 | Tagged: Senior School, School Community

Bannerman House's recent 'Help For Heids' campaign rounded off the Fundraising Weeks for 2018/19, raising over £5,000 for The Brain Tumour Charity, the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally.

Senior School pupils had a fun-filled week prior to the Easter break, with Bannerman's very own versions of game shows 'The Weakest Link' and 'Through the Keyhole', Bannerman buskers performing throughout the School, a mini-golf championship serving up action on a par with the recent Masters competition and tasty treats for sale at the Bannerman Boulangerie.

A number of teachers were more than keen to don their sumo suits and duke it out in the dohyō for the HSOG Sumo Championship, truly a sight to behold for Senior School pupils - lessons will never be the same again! Fundraising came to an end on Friday night with a packed Assembly Hall of pupils and parents testing their general knowledge in the 'Big Bannerman Family Quiz'.

After an enjoyable week which saw a huge numbers of pupils get involved with the fundraising events, and thanks to generous contributions from the wider school community, Bannerman House were able to raise over £5,000, exceeding their original £3,500 target. This money will go towards seeking vital new treatments for brain tumours, as well as offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change.
