About the Programme
What is the HSOG Warrior Programme?
A structured, performance-focused environment extending beyond the day-to-day school timetable, combining strength and conditioning, on-field rugby coaching, position-specific development and performance education.
Who's It For?
Motivated young rugby players looking to accelerate their development, train in a high-performance environment and improve athletic performance while building confidence and understanding of the game.
Both current HSOG pupils and external athletes are welcome - no school enrolment is required.
When & Where?
Sessions take place at The High School of Glasgow's Senior School campus in Anniesland, making use of top-level gym facilities, grass pitches and 3G facilities.
The programme runs during term time on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, from approximately 6:00pm - 8:30pm (timings may be refined ahead of launch).
Programme Structure
How it Works
Initial Intake Cap
The first cohort is limited to approximately 24 athletes in order to ensure high-quality coaching and strong staff-to-player ratios. The capacity may expand to 48 athletes, depending on demand and staffing.
Age & Stage Grouping
Players are grouped appropriately to keep sessions developmentally suitable and challenging. The emphasis is on small-group coaching, quality feedback, individual development and athlete progression.
Performance Pathways
Training standards and athlete development practices are aligned with elite rugby pathways, giving players meaningful exposure to high-performance environments.
