Alongside our official training partner, Glasgow Warriors, The High School of Glasgow is proud to launch the Rugby Academy - an elite programme for a limited number of pupils with exceptional potential in rugby.
HSOG Warrior Programme
The High School Rugby Academy will also extend beyond the day-to-day school timetable.
The HSOG Warrior Programme will provide the highest possible quality rugby coaching for not only High School pupils, but potential future rugby stars from the wider community, creating a broader pathway for participation and development during dedicated evening sessions, three times per week.
The programme is designed for aspiring young players looking to develop their technical skills, athletic performance, game understanding and confidence within a structured, performance-focused environment.

Our Rugby Academy is built on a simple idea: to develop talent, create opportunity and contribute to the future of Scottish rugby.
It sits within a school that values ambition, community and character, and which understands that success in sport and success in life can go hand-in-hand.
Our facilities are second-to-none, with our Senior School campus set amongst 20 acres of exceptional on-site playing fields that include five full-sized floodlit rugby pitches. And we aren't stopping there...
Supported by Arnold Clark, we are making further significant investment in our sporting facilities. As part of this upgrade, our Senior School gymnasium will be transformed into a modern strength and conditioning suite, designed to support high-performance training for rugby and the numerous other sports on offer at Old Anniesland. This development will ensure that all pupils have access to facilities that match their ambition.

Assessment
Once you have applied, your child will be invited to sit an entrance assessment at our Senior School.
- Tuesday 19 May - S2, S3 & S4 applicants
- Wednesday 20 May - Transitus & S1 applicants
- Either Date - S5 & S6 applicants
Combine
Candidates who are successful in their entrance assessment will be invited to our Rugby Academy Combine at the Senior School campus on Sunday 7 June 2026 for a rugby-specific assessment designed to identify talent and athletic potential across a range of skills.
