Trips
Senior pupils enjoy regular opportunities to travel the world, experiencing vibrant new cultures that help to enhance in-class learning.
Each Senior School session is punctuated by exciting and illuminating excursions that help bring our learning to life!
We love getting to know our country that bit better. Whether it's First Year on their annual visit to the Isle of Raasay during Activities Week, our geographers and biologists carrying out fieldwork during regular trips to Millport and Arran, or our cricketers travelling north for a summer weekend tour, there's so much to explore on our own doorstep!
A number of departments head further afield, with trips scheduled on an annual or biannual basis. In recent times, Geography pupils have had the chance to take in the incredible geological features of Iceland, our Classics Department have explored the ancient sites of Italy and Greece, while History pupils have learned more about The World Wars during trips to the battlefields of Belgium and France, and the German capital, Berlin. Senior hockey and rugby sides have visited the Netherlands and South Africa on recent tours, whilst our Music Department have enjoyed visits to cultural hubs including London and New York.
And that's not all...
...from scuba diving in Mexico, skiing in Colorado and Sierra Nevada and running marathons in Hong Kong, to cultural exchanges with schools in France and Germany, Transitus residential trips to Normandy and helping to build schools in Uganda, our senior pupils relish the chance to travel the world and participate in once-in-a-lifetime experiences!
