Charities and Voluntary Service

The School continues to be committed to charitable and community service activities, including The Christmas Appeal for East Park and the delivery of parcels to senior citizens locally.

Pupils at the Senior School contribute to charitable causes and frequently involve themselves in community service activities. In recent times, the High School has taken part in community service projects as far away as India, Morocco and Uganda.

Each House hosts a fundraising week throughout the school session, with fundraising efforts benefiting a specific charity each time. Sixth Year pupils and staff participate enthusiastically in an annual blood donation drive, while various pupils and staff often partake in charitable events and fundraising efforts outwith school. Elderly members of the local community are frequently invited for tea and coffee while taking in the dress rehearsals for the Senior School music and drama productions.

Transitus pupils take part in the annual “Go Yellow” 5k Walk in aid of the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice and play an important role in the annual Christmas Appeal for East Park, raising money from each class' cake & candy sales around the festive period.

The numerous charities supported at the Senior School includes UNICEF, Save the Children, Build Africa, Water Aid, Help for Heroes, NSPCC, The Scottish Refugee Council, The Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH), East Park and the Beatson Cancer Charity.
