School education is a springboard for the future.

Each year, our pupils gain places in top Higher Education institutions across the UK and further afield, with some choosing to defer and explore the world, enjoying new cultures and ways of living before continuing their education. 

The High School provides children with a rock solid foundation which ensures they enter this next phase of life as young adults with confidence and clarity, ready to take on their future studies, follow their aspirations and carve out meaningful careers they can be proud of. 

Sixth Year University Destinations

Highlights

99% of 2023/24 Sixth Year Leavers gained their firm choice university place.

42%

of the year now attend a Russell Group university (Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Imperial, London School of Economics and Political Science & Warwick)

10%

of the year study Medicine and everyone who met the academic requirements for Medicine received an offer, many receiving 
multiple offers

14% of the year now attend St Andrews University, with 27% receiving offers. 6 pupils were offered places to study Economics, 2 to study International Relations and 1 to study Economics & International Relations.

One leaver chose to take on a Degree Apprenticeship in Accountancy and defer their offer of a place studying Economics at St Andrews University.

24% of the year now attend the University of Edinburgh, with 52% receiving offers.

15% of the year now attend the University of Glasgow, with 60% receiving offers.

Further leavers are studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Glasgow School of Art, while two have crossed the Atlantic to continue their studies in Higher Education institutions in the United States of America.
