National Biology Olympiad

A number of the School's senior pupils competed in this session's British Biology Olympiad, with five pupils winning medals.

The Olympiad competition this year saw nearly 8,500 5th and 6th Year competitors from throughout the UK test their biological intuition, logic and knowledge in a stimulating and challenging event.

Congratulations to Charlie Campbell, Catriona MacKenzie, Ella Smoli (all S6) and Annabel Davies (S5), who finished in the top 15% of all who took part, achieving silver medals, and to Danny Petrie (S5), who was in the top 25%, therefore winning a bronze medal.

In addition, Ailun Peng (S6), Tanvi Mantry and Maxwell Wang (both S5) were highly commended, while Angelina Antomarlin, Amirah Khatoon and Amena Shaikh (all S5) received commendations.
