Moore House Fundraising Week

12 March 2021 | Tagged: Senior School, School Community, Events

Moore House's Fundraising Week, the first fully virtual week of fundraising in the history of the High School, has raised more than £3,000 for charity.

Despite the incredibly difficult circumstances of organising fundraising events whilst pupils were learning from home, Moore House were able to put together activities that involved the HSOG community from a distance...and our community did not disappoint, living up to the participative nature of the School.

A huge number of High School families were proud pet owners, sending in their entries in their droves for Moore House's Cutest Pet Competition, whilst some smashing showstoppers were created during Moore's Bake Off Challenge.

Mrs Elsby challenged High School pupils to keep fit by joining her in a 50k in 5 days challenge, while 6th Year musicians came together to perform a new take on the Foo Fighters song 'Times Like These'.

Thank you to all those who took part and donated throughout the week. The generosity of the High School community has once again shone through, as Moore House raised £3,095 for the Children's Mental Health charity, Place2Be.

This money will go towards funding the incredible support that Place2Be has offered to children for more than 25 years. Read more about the work they do at
