A virtual End of Term

To mark the end of the unusual 2019-2020 Summer Term, it was decided that end of term announcements would go virtual.

The Junior School marked the final day of term with a Zoom Assembly, a tribute to Mrs Christine Ritchie on her retirement after 34 years, a montage of Junior 6 memories, the announcement of the winning ship, Lizard and of course a final chorus of the School Song. The virtual Assembly welcomed over 350 guests including pupils, their families and all the staff. Led by Head Teacher Ms. Heather Fuller, a surprise message from Rector John O'Neill and lots of videos of the 2019-20 achievements.

The Senior School invited the leaving Captains' Committee to a socially distanced mini prize-giving, whilst also filming the celebration to go live on Instagram and Facebook which saw over 700 people watch live.

Mr John O'Neill and Mr. Kenneth Robertson announced live the winners of the Inter-House cups, and overall championships as Clyde House. They also announced the names of the 2020-21 Captains' Committee.

The leaving Committee enjoyed some celebratory pictures and round of applause from House staff.

It wasn't the traditional end of term celebrations that we enjoy, however we were glad we could bring our community together virtually.
