Second Year chef Amy Ashton was victorious in the Glasgow Heat of the Rotary Young Chef Competition at Saint Roch's Secondary School yesterday.
Challenged with preparing, cooking and presenting three courses of food, Amy's menu featured:
- a starter of asparagus soup
- a main course of chicken wrapped in prosciutto, stuffed with homemade pesto and served with a red pepper sauce
- a dessert of chocolate fondants served with a raspberry gel
Her dishes impressed the judges, who declared Amy the winner of the Glasgow Heat.
She now advances to the District Final at South Lanarkshire College on Wednesday 23rd January.
