Ten pupils from S4-S6 entertained audiences over three nights in the Senior Drama Production of 'Passing Places'.
A contemporary Scottish road movie for the stage, written by Stephen Greenhorn, Passing Places follows Alex and Brian, a pair of smalltown boys going nowhere, who get out the only way they know how – doing a runner with a prized surfboard in the only transport available: a worn-out Lada. But the surfboard belongs to Binks, Alex's psychopathic gangster boss, and he's hot on their heels as they head north for Thurso – where the surf is up all year round.
The High School production featured Sixth Year pupils Guy Rose and Russell Ewing as 'Alex' and 'Brian', Lucas Barr and Gabriel Ommer of Fifth Year as 'Binks', and a supporting cast featuring Jennifer Lafferty (S6), Michael Alba, Gregor Howie, Christina Miller (all S5), Sebastian Harten and Catriona Gallagher (both S4). Nandi Salwan of Fourth Year was Stage Manager.
