High School runners took home national team and individual medals in the Scottish Schools' Road Race at Falkirk Stadium earlier this week.

With approximately 150 runners competing in each race, competition on the day was very stiff. However, The High School runners competed excellently to take home Gold medals in the S2 Girls' team race. The team consisted of Second Year girls Annabel DaviesKirsty Jones, Zara Kennedy, Anya MacLean, Lucy Sillars, Aurelia Tiffoney, as well as Louisa Brown and Anna McCallum of First Year, who qualified for the S2 team due to their dates of birth, with the fastest four finishers' times counting towards the overall team result.

Anya MacLean's performance was of particular value to the team success, as she won Gold in the S2 Girls' individual race. This completed an impressive week for Anya, who finished third in the 12-15 Years race at The Great Scottish Run on Sunday 1st October.

There was also success for the boys, with Fergus Currie winning an individual Silver medal in the S1 Boys' race.
