Olympiad Gold!

A record number of High School pupils took part in this year's British Biology Olympiad, achieving considerable success.

21 pupils took part this year and of the 7,500 participants nationwide, Ross Lilley, Saumya Maheshwari, Joseph McGrath Williams and Joe Vaughan (all S6) were in the top 6%, meaning they were awarded Gold medals for their performances. 

Junwen Chen and Adam Stanley (both S6) also scored extremely highly and were awarded Silver medals, with Hiba Alhasso, Matthew Tang (both S6) and George Cooper (S5) achieving Bronze medals.

Henry Lafferty (S6) and William Xu (S5) were highly commended, while a further five pupils - Beth Cairns (S6), Andrew CrossAdam Frizzell, Varnit Gupta and Jiangmin Hou (all S5) - also received commendations for their performances.
