Senior Orchestral Concert

31 March 2017 | Tagged: Senior School, Music, Events

The High School Music Department's Senior Orchestral Concert took place in the beautiful surroundings of Glasgow University Chapel earlier this week.

Over 50 pupils, alongside further players including High School staff and tutors, made up the Senior Orchestra, as they performed a full length “Classic FM” style programme, featuring works by Vivaldi, Beethoven and Sibelius, amongst others.

S6 pupils Duncan Fraser (clarinet), Samrat Majumder (classical guitar) and Christopher O’Leary (French horn) each performed a movement from a solo concerto at the concert which brought a fitting end to a successful musical spring term.

If you happened to miss it, you can enjoy excerpts of the talented pupils of the High School in action below.
