The High School of Glasgow is a welcoming, vibrant and high achieving co-educational day school.

We aim to create a happy and nurturing community in which each individual is enabled to develop their all-round potential from the academic to sport, the expressive arts and beyond.

Combining the early benefits of Kindergarten from age 3, to a happy, encouraging Junior School and the nationally recognised Senior School which includes Transitus (P7) pupils.

Life at the High School

Sport and Activities

We are committed to prioritising the development of pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

The extensive range and well-resourced list of extra-curricular activities allows our pupils to explore options and find what path is right for them, be that sport, arts, coding, chess or one of our other exciting clubs and societies.

We keep our young people busy. Participation is the key. Joining in. Having a go. We give our pupils the tools, the environment and the encouragement.

Health and Wellbeing

The High School of Glasgow recognises the importance of our pupils' health and all-round wellbeing.

Our dedicated Health and Wellbeing Centre provides a consistent hub that caters to the needs of and enables support to be provided to our young people.

Staffed with a full time qualified nurse and medical assistant, there is always someone on hand to provide guidance, administer treatments and offer support to both staff and pupils.

Health and Wellbeing

The High School of Glasgow is rich in history and values.

Founded as The Sang School for Glasgow Cathedral in 1124, the School has always been driven by strong values and ethos.

Initially uniting voices in the choir and working together as one community, these same values are still prevalent today.

Nearly 900 years later, we are still helping individuals find their voice and making sure those early journeys are both enjoyable and memorable.
