Ruby Secures National Double BMX Success During Stellar 2025 Season

Ruby Secures National Double BMX Success During Stellar 2025 Season

Thirteen-year-old BMX racer Ruby W has capped off a remarkable 2025 season by claiming both British and Scottish National Champion titles, alongside reaching the semi finals at her first World Championships.

Second Year pupil Ruby was runner up at the two-day British Championships in Kent last month, bringing her incredible national race season to a close. The event also saw her officially crowned as the 2025 British national champion for the 10-round series held across various tracks throughout Great Britain.

Ruby's standout moment came this summer at the BMX World Championships in Copenhagen, where she competed against 72 nationally-ranked 13 year old girls from around the globe. Racing through three heats, last 16 and quarter final stages, she successfully advanced to the semi final – an impressive achievement for her World Championships debut.

With only four years of BMX racing experience under her belt, Ruby has already established herself as a force to be reckoned with on both national and international stages. Her double champion status - holding both British and Scottish titles - demonstrates her consistency and skill across different competitive environments.

Looking ahead, Ruby will focus on winter training and monthly indoor racing sessions in Manchester as she prepares for her next challenge: pursuing success in European BMX racing in 2026.

Her rapid rise through the BMX ranks serves as an inspiration to young athletes across the School, proving that dedication and talent can lead to extraordinary achievements in just a few short years - congratulations Ruby!
