Exam Results 2026 – Another Outstanding Year of Achievement

The High School of Glasgow is delighted to celebrate another exceptional set of Qualifications Scotland examination results. Once again, these results place the High School amongst the top performing schools in the country.

These achievements reflect the determination of our pupils, the expertise of our staff and the support of our families. They also build on an exceptional year for the School, following our HM Inspection, which judged Raising Attainment and Achievement as Excellent, and recognition as The Sunday Times Scottish Independent Secondary School of the Year 2026.

Higher Results (S5) 

• 79.7% of all Higher grades awarded were at Grade A 
• 94.5% of Fifth Year pupils achieved five or more Higher passes
• 98.3% overall Higher pass rate
• 53 pupils achieved five or six Grade A passes
   

National 5 Results (S4) 

• 81.8% of all National 5 grades were at Grade A
• 97.4% overall National 5 pass rate 
• 53 pupils achieved eight or more Grade A passes 
   

Advanced Higher Results (S6) 

• 62.5% of all Advanced Higher grades were at Grade A 
• 96.6% overall Advanced Higher pass rate 
• 26 pupils achieved three or more Grade A passes

These results are a tremendous achievement and reflect the ambition and hard work of our pupils. They are also a tribute to the dedication of our staff and the partnership we enjoy with our families.
