Play Based Learning
Kindergarten children follow the Early Level Curriculum for Excellence at Early Years level with an emphasis on play based experiences that stimulate curiosity, resilience and independence.
The wellbeing, learning and development of every child is our priority. We value listening to our children, nurturing their creativity and supporting them to play and learn in our inspiring indoor and outdoor learning spaces.
Our Kindergarten play spaces accommodate Kindergarten 1 (children aged 3) and Kindergarten 2 (pre-school children).
Our highly experienced team of Early Years Specialists includes both teachers and Early Years Practitioners, who plan a variety of daily experiences for children to enjoy both independently and in small groups.
All of our experiences are geared to both stimulate and challenge, piquing the interests of our young learners and, most importantly, enabling them to have fun!
As part of our weekly activity plan, children enjoy teacher-led programmes such as story time, physical education and an introduction to school subjects including French and Music.
Throughout the year we also welcome members of our local community to speak with children, from local dentists to members of the emergency services. We love keeping our children engaged and helping to learn more about the community in which they live!
