J3 Roman Day

22 May 2018 | Tagged: Junior 3

Junior 3 held a Roman Day as part of their current topic.  The children came dressed in Roman outfits. The girls looked lovely and elegant and some boys were legionaries, centurions and even Julius Caesar!  We made lots of delicacies in the morning, such as stuffed dormice, and then held a Roman Feast at lunchtime.  We marched round the school to show the other pupils our costumes and sang 'Hold High the Eagles'.  The Aquilifers carried the standards as they led the legion, just like they did in the Roman Army.  We also made Roman soldiers and bullas. The Junior 3 corridor was definitely a little corner of Rome for the day.
