We would be delighted to welcome prospective pupils and their families to our Kindergarten and Junior School in Bearsden or to our Senior School in Anniesland. This is unquestionably the best way to get a feel for The High School experience.

Our principal stages for entry are:

• Kindergarten

  • KG1 (from age 3)

  • KG2 (pre-school year)

• Junior 1

• Transitus (Primary 7)

• Secondary 1

Open Events for our Junior and Senior Schools take place during the autumn term.

Typically, our Junior School event takes place towards the end of October, while our Senior School event happens in early November.

Entrance Assessment Day takes place in late January.

Junior 2 - Senior 6 pupils sit written assessments, while Kindergarten and Junior 1 pupils take part in observed play sessions. These assessments allow us to establish children's ability levels, suitability and readiness for school.

We would encourage parents to apply as early as possible.

It is preferable for applications to be submitted by the January prior to the start of a new school session in August. However, we do welcome applications throughout the year.

We recommend submitting Kindergarten applications from a child's second birthday, though we do accept earlier submissions. At this stage, we work on a first come, first served basis.

While the ideal starting date for new pupils is the beginning of the session in August, we welcome applications all year round.

Should a place be available for the stage you are applying for, we are happy to accommodate for your child joining at a later point in the session.
