Getting to Know You Day

Junior School

27 Ledcameroch Road
Bearsden
G61 4AE

At our Junior School in Bearsden, we will be hosting a 'Getting to Know You' Day on Monday 19th January, where children spend a day with a class, immersed in the vibrant life at Ledcameroch Road.

Prospective pupils visit specialised classes, dependent on the timetable on offer that day. Our sector-leading class teachers will carry out tasks with children in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics, in order to help gauge pupils' understanding. This may be in the form of a standalone task or through a task the class already have planned.

While this is a chance for the High School to get to know your child, it is also a chance for your child to get to know the High School!

We can't wait to welcome you. Apply for your place at The High School of Glasgow and our Admissions Team will register you for our Assessment Day.

Did You Know?

The High School of Glasgow is The Sunday Times Scottish Independent Secondary School of the Year 2026.

This award reflects the achievements, character and commitment of our young people, alongside the hard work, dedication and inspiration of our staff.

It demonstrates the strong foundations built from our pupils' earliest days, and the journey from our Junior School all the way through to sitting National 5 and Higher SQA exams - shaping positive attitudes, nurturing curiosity and helping to develop confidence in our young people so that they can go on to shape the world around them.
